High Five
Welcome to North Shore Rovers!

  • The program is FREE and meets Sunday mornings per the calendar below (address also below). Please pay attention to the age groups and different practice times.

  • We will provide your child with their own ball and uniform or t-shirt (younger kids).
You will need to get: cleats (not expensive, just comfortable), shin guards, water bottle and soccer socks.

  • Your child will be partnered with a student volunteer for the ENTIRE season. Each week the volunteer (vol.) will be there to greet your child, head out to the field with him/her, be a partner for the practice and walk him/her back to you at the end of practice. When you meet the vol., please provide them with as much information as you think might be helpful in making your child’s experience a successful one! We love our vols. and are really impressed by them; we think you will be too. Check out this Channel 7 “Class Act” video about Rovers players and volunteers (it was filmed on Halloween weekend 2016 fyi): http://whdh.com/news/class-act/class-act-north-shore-rovers/

Additional Information
  • If we have to cancel practice due to weather we will send out an email by 7 or earlier that morning.
  • Please explain to your child that everything at Rovers is meant to be fun! Playing soccer is great on its own but meeting friends and being part of a team is the best!! Hopefully they won’t be too nervous the first week; if they are don’t worry, it takes some of our players a few weeks to settle in. The coaches and volunteers are really good at making kids comfortable.
  • If your child will be missing a day, please let us know asap so we can contact his/her volunteer partner and let them sleep in! They only come to the field to be with your child! Email or text Gail at 781-799-8625
  • Enjoy watching your child have fun!! Bring a blanket or chair and watch from the sidelines; it’s a nice time to relax, enjoy seeing your child being part of a team and for you to get to know other families. A parent or guardian should remain at the field at all times please.
  • The program has grown so much we are no longer able to accommodate siblings unless their participation is necessary to help the player. We love all kids but just don’t have the vol. numbers to cover everyone! There are two playground areas at the field for siblings to use during the practice. Thanks for understanding.
  • The field has bathrooms and on occasion a snack shack is open.
  • The PARKING LOT at the field is busy and crowded, and we have lots of young children anxious to get onto the field to play. PLEASE be extra careful driving into the lot and escorting your child between the car and field.

Open to You
We are always open to your thoughts, your kid’s stories, ideas, suggestions, and questions! Just email or call Gail at 781-592-9978. We’ll see you September 9! GO ROVERS!!!
